לזכרה של תפארת לפידות ז"ל | In memory of the late Tiferet Lapidot
בשנת 2022 החלה תפארת לפידות את המסע שלה באוסטרליה. היא טיילה, התנדבה ועבדה יחד עם צעירים וצעירות מישראל. לקראת חגי חודש תשרי היא הגיעה לישראל לביקור משפחתי קצר והייתה אמורה לשוב חזרה לאוסטרליה למחרת שמחת תורה. ב-7 באוקטובר 2023 היא הגיעה למסיבה ברעים יחד עם חברתה הטובה, אירוע לו הן חיכו תקופה ארוכה. בבוקר החג, עם תחילת מתקפת הטרור של מחבלי החמאס, היא וחברתה החלו במסע ההימלטות יחד עם שאר ההמונים. היא הצליחה להתקשר לאמה ולהודיע לה על המצב הקשה, אך לאחר מכן אבדו עקבותיה. הטלפון הנייד שלה אוכן בעזה וככל שחלפו השעות והימים היא נחשבה כנעדרת. במשך שבוע ימים קיוותה המשפחה לקבל שביבי מידע על גורלה ופנתה לעזרה בקרב אנשי הקהילה היהודית בקנדה, שנרתמו לעזרת משפחות החטופים ממוצא קנדי, ופעלו בכל דרך אפשרית כדי להשיג לחץ בינלאומי למען החטופים בעזה.
כעבור עשרה ימים מתחילת המלחמה אותרה גופתה של תפארת ז"ל.
ביום ב' בחשוון התשפ"ד (17.10.23) הובאה תפארת ז"ל לקבורת עולמים בבית העלמין בעין עירון.

In 2022 Tiferet Lapidot began her journey in Australia. She traveled, volunteered and worked together with young men and women from Israel. Before the holidays of the month of Tishrei, she arrived in Israel for a short family visit and was supposed to return to Australia the day after Simchat Torah. On October 7, 2023, she arrived at a party in Re'im with her best friend, an event they had been waiting for for a long time. On the morning of the holiday, with the beginning of the terrorist attack by the Hamas terrorists, she and her friend began the escape journey together with the rest of the crowds. She managed to call her mother and inform her of the dire situation, but after that she was lost. Her mobile phone is located in Gaza and as the hours and days passed she was considered missing. For a week, the family hoped to receive bits of information about her fate and turned to the Jewish community in Canada for help, who rallied to the aid of the families of the Canadian abductees, and worked in every possible way to achieve international pressure on behalf of the abductees in Gaza
Ten days after the start of the war, the body of the late Tiferet was located
